Teaching
My teaching career began in the high school classroom in South Mississippi. After completing my undergraduate degree in biology and mathematics at William Carey University, I secured my alternate route teaching license and returned to my high school alma mater, George County High School, to launch my teaching career. There, I taught algebra, physics, and ACT prep to 9-12th graders. At Auburn, I have served as a graduate teaching assistant for introductory biology labs, anatomy and physiology, and introduction to computational biology. In 2026, I expanded my teaching repertoire to include community education when I worked as an instructor with the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project.
